The lack of 5 stars has nothing to do with the content here. Carroll is an all-time great.The prefect score is withheld because personally, I like the original illustrations better than these. I would have also liked there to be MORE illustrations--perhaps one for each stanza in the Walrus and the Carpenter, for example. My 1.5 y/o tends to get bored if he has to look at the same pic for too long.
Overall though, a unique and cool book for your collection.

First time purchasing an item for my kindle. I was surprised that I didnt like the layout. It was a vertical scrolling page with no lines between verses. Quite hard to read.
I would not recommend this product - unless you know for a fact that Im just a noob who doesnt know how to use the App.

This is a classic and wonderful old poem that is very often misquoted. I have loved this great old poem since I was a child.
The Walrus and The Carpenter has been one of my favorites ever since childhood. I downloaded this copy to serve as a handy reference.
If Lewis Carroll has not yet been a discovery of word to paper for your intense imagination and delicious escape, partake if you dare. Fascinating , and addictive ,sad when it reaches a final page.
